Building Science & Anthropogenic Rating Systems
Northeast built the first USGBC LEED for Homes certified house (Gold) in New York. Kevin became the first ENERGY STAR Builder and certified HERS rater in the nation, a member of the LEED for Homes Core Committee that wrote the LEED for Homes rating system.

As a builder of custom and funded research projects, we work with the same forces of performance (craftsmanship, warranties, etc.), financial & budget realities, and ecological building barriers such as building codes, higher first cost, perception, and schedules that exist in the built environment.
We actively cultivate and preserve a deep network of diverse experts, including biologists, ecologists, renewable energy specialists, and others with experience essential to making buildings, communities, and initiatives both restorative and resilient.
